Affiliate Disclosure

My creative friend,

If you’re reading this, it means you’re curious about my affiliate disclosure. Affiliate, who, what now?

In case you’re not familiar with the term ‘affiliate marketing’ I want to explain what it means. Occasionally, I recommend specific products or classes here, things that I know you’d be interested in. If you use the links I include or the referral codes I share to buy the product or class, I receive a commission. It doesn’t come out of your end, though.

Affiliate marketing actually reminds me of my first trip to Bali with my family. When we visited tourist destinations or bought something at a shop that a friend recommended, I was amazed to find that the Balinese people had an intricate commission system, in order to remunerated everyone who had helped make the experience possible.

Everyone from our driver to someone who recommended a specific product got something, either large or small, out of the deal. The icing on the cake was seeing our friend give a potted plant to someone who had played a small part in our day. Offering consideration to everyone involved seems fair to me.

Affiliate marketing is similar; basically, it’s a way of sharing the profit with those of us who get the word out. It helps me keep this blog going, in order that I can continue to share my love of creativity and photography with you.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out to me.

Cheerfully,

Willow
